JACOVIA What do you get when you take a twenty something artist born and raised in Buffalo, NY, who's influences included Pop, Rock, and R&B? Answer: You get a brand new flavor. You get a songwriter that is fresh and innovative. You get a singer whose vocals are both strong and smooth. You get Jacovia. You get Urban Pop. Born, Jacovia Cunningham, grew up on the second floor of his grandparents' house on the East side. Jacovia's first language was music. Jacovia spent his childhood in front of an audience. Touring Europe, and even singing for the president while he was performing with a Boys Choir he had been with since he was a toddler. At 14, he began writing songs on his father's old Rhodes. At every party, Jacovia was the main attraction, performing for his friends and classmates. Where there was a piano there was Jacovia. He had magic up on stage, a flavor that had long been forgotten. Jacovia began writing, producing, and singing hooks for the local record label, working along side of funk master Rick James. During college, Jacovia continued to write and perform, making fans in the greater L.A. community. After relocating to California's capital, Jacovia began to develop his unique style. Jacovia began to write, produce, and sing hooks for artist in Sacramento's Hip Hop community. In demand for his smooth vocal tracks, and his banging beats, Jacovia began to concentrate on his own highly anticipated debut album. Fusing his influences, Jacovia came up with a new sound. From his roots in NY, to his Hip Hop days, came Urban Pop. Cove-rt Operation is expected to be released SUMMER 2001. ONE LOVE.
